Welcome to the blog page for HC3010. This module is part of the accredited degree in Nutrition at Kingston University and aims to provide an understanding of critical issues in human nutrition and the management of nutritional disorders in the developing world. As you know, I am looking at the potential of blogs, micro-blogging (Twitter), and Facebook on learning and teaching in Nutrition. It is hoped that the blog will complement your knowledge of the subject area by highlighting recent stories on the news related to the topics covered by this module. The twitter widget on the right hand side will provide short news bulletins in less than 140 characters to those stories. The Facebook group that you are all using will be closely linked to your assignments and I will comment on your Facebook group posts (please feel free to comment back within the group).
