Welcome to Innoversity

Innoversity is Kingston University’s design thinking research centre of excellence. Our goal is to observe how technology, design and business (in academia) can work together for innovation. We do this by bringing a small group of Masters and PhD students together to work on short challenges (called ‘Brainsessions’), watch how they work and then publish case studies of the experience.
These academic studies aim to discover what the multidisciplinary qualities of ‘design thinking’ are, which is a creative process used for innovation primarily by designers. We want to observe what makes multidisciplinary …

In conjunction with the Kingston University Faculty of Business and Law, Innoversity is researching how students on the MA for Creative Economy programme are using design thinking to create their own businesses. The space nears implementation

Work commences soon on the Physical Hub space at knights park, which will be live in November.
There are a number of layers to the build including the base furniture shown in the image below, equipment and items for use by groups (games, tools, materials) and items to give the space its character, and finally the provision of the audio visual aspects which will allow the simple recording of group activities for the research, both off site and within the Knights park space.
Watch out for update images as the build progresses.
