Art, Design & Sleeping Spaces
Of course, artists don’t need to go to a gallery to create artwork on the theme of sleeping and dreaming. Art hotels are currently featured on sites such as Dezeen and Curating.info. These boutique hotels aim to create a unique sleeping experience for visitors by inviting artists to fill their rooms with objects and decor from the kitsch to the exquisite. We got in touch with the owners of one of the featured hotels, Piotr Zaztrozny of LALALA in Sopot. He believes that the dreamy interiors of LALALA encourage people to return to a childlike state, while natural rhythms take over and provide a deep, satisfying sleep. The hotel also keeps a notebook under each bed to encourage visitors to record their dreams.
