The main focus of Kingston’s display will be the industry launch of Rematerialise, our unique materials library. The collection has over 1,200 samples that use less virgin resources and are easily renewed. Rematerialise is a popular resource that has become a catalyst for collaborations between Kingston University and industry, including high-profile brands such as Marks & Spencer. Other features include an exciting graphic exhibition that will tell the story of how design-led research by academics and students has made a difference to sustainability and society through projects about behaviour, architectural technology, surveying, dementia, renewable materials and product design. Join Dr Paul Micklethwaite from the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture who will be launching his new book Design for Sustainable Change (co-authored with colleague Anne Chick) and hosting a series of intimate and engaging round table events with special guests that can be followed via Twitter and his blog. Kingston’s presence at Ecobuild will establish the University as a centre of sustainability expertise across various disciplines. |
